Commissioning Shareen Joel Design to craft the interiors in just three months, gone are the poky interiors and small dining rooms and in its place an expansive open-plan event space has emerged, complete with a soft neutral palette and minimal brass finishes that let the incredible views over to the Yarra River below do the talking.
The bespoke event space opened just a few weeks ago and is already booking up fast for conferences, weddings, private parties and large events.
Beautiful travertine tiles in a soft muted cream clad the walls and floors, creating an elegance and sense of flow to the space, while a huge mirror behind the bar reflects the tree-tops and river beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Walnut trims and blackened steel accents are the only other notable features needed in this space, and combined with the travertine and neutral tones creates an almost eerie sense as if the building has been carved out of the clay walls of the Yarra.
“ For the amount of time we had to work with on this project the transformation has been astounding,” said Shareen Joel Design senior designer, Adelle Mackey.
“ Basically we removed all of the internal walls and offices pushed the bar back against the wall, rewired all of the plumbing and completely stripped the space before starting the re-design.
“ The only element of the original floorplan which has remained the same are the bathrooms,” she said.
The result is a breathtaking interior fit for any sophisticated event or elegant wedding. Matched with incredible menu creations from the kitchen and THAT view which is the true hero of the design, Fenix Events has nailed it from every direction.
